Biography

Rasheedat Modupe Mahamood, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Ilorin with fifteen years of teaching, research, community service and administrative experiences,

She is the current Ag. Head of Department and Faculty research Manager. Her research interest is in Laser Materials Processing and Characterization and Renewable Energy Development. She has to her credit over one hundred and fifty publications in reputable outlets including authored books, edited books, book chapters, journals and edited conference proceedings. She has successfully supervised 5 masters students and co-supervised 2 Ph.D. thesis. She has won a number of prestigious awards and best paper presentation awards that includes L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science. She has also won research grants both home and abroad. Dr Mahamood is a member of professional bodies in Nigeria and outside Nigeria
