Engr. James Obafemi Adegbola

Lecturer II
Materials & metallurgical Engineering
University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria

Engr. James Obafemi ADEGBOLA is a registered mechanical engineer who is a lecturer at the Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering of University of Ilorin. He seeks knowledge on wide variety use of fibers(short and nano), mechanics of composite materials and its deformation mechanism, structure and property relationships. This is to provide efficient ways of maximizing composite for application in automobile, fluid handling, medical and consumer products.

Prior to joining University of Ilorin, he has a field experience in automobile maintenance and repairs. He has 4 years academic, research and teaching experience. He has taught and is presently teaching about 5 courses at the undergraduate level and supervised also undergraduate students’ projects.

His research interests are composites development and characterization, failure analysis, material selection, mechanical testing of polymer composite materials and application of composites in automobiles. He is open to emerging process, circular economy, sustainable materials and development for optimization
