Biography

YAHAYA Taiwo, MEng, BEng, MNSE, is Lecturer I in the Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, University of Ilorin. He is a certified engineer by Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, (COREN). Engineering Yahaya held his first and second degrees from Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ilorin. He started his academic career in 2012. He is the secretary of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Research Proposal Screening Committee, (FETRPSC) from 2015 to date. Engineer Yahaya also serves as the technical secretary of his department research group, known as MME-Research Group. His knack for research activities has won him two national research fund and institutional based research grants respectfully from Tertiary Education Trust Fund, (Tetfund) and one international grant. Engineer Yahaya has supervised and co-supervised undergraduate and postgraduate (master level) students final year projects respectively. He has also published over 15 peer-reviewed scientific articles in reputable journals. His research interests include Manufacturing processes, potentials of bio energy technology development, Sustainable and Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and Planning and Total Quality Management.
